1968 – Tom Hameline

Ken Grabeldinger’s hockey academy, also known as the Thursday Night League, was the premier prep school in Central New York. Dinger was the Dean of Admissions and head of the on-ice faculty; teaching staff included Archie Burton, Jimmy and Pete Burns, Bernie Welch, and Don Dawes, with frequent guest appearances by Bobby Moran. If you were lucky enough to secure an invite (and to survive the first few shifts), you couldn’t help but learn how the game was meant to be played. Much thanks to Dinger!
