1967 – Michael Jeffery

I was very fortunate to be coached as a youth by many of the Clinton Comets mentioned earlier, such as Jack Kane, Ian Anderson, and Archie Burton, while also playing for Bernie Burns in 1979. These men were instrumental in developing my enthusiasm for the sport, and had a direct effect on me as I went on to coach other young men and one girl for over 21 years at the collegiate and high school level. They were wonderful mentors and teachers of the game and life! I cannot think of a better place to have spent my youth than at the Clinton Arena with these men and the many lifelong friends and teammates I made at the Arena!
